Issues on the Ballot

Go see a sample ballot for our precinct. The items we have to vote on for this election cycle are the school bond issue and three open city council seats.

Early Voting at City Offices

If you don't want to fight the crowds (although that hasn't traditionally been too much of a problem) or need a more convenient time to vote, you can drop by the city offices and cast your vote early. You may vote any time between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm or on Friday, November 4th, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The legislature is meeting in special session this week to finalize details of the redistricting. The decisions made in these sessions will affect our communities for the next 10 years.

The questions asked by the 5th/6th grade students will be "real" questions. The PTA has given the teachers a list of issues that are currently affecting our city. The classes will discuss the issues what they mean and will pull their questions from that. Please don't worry- candidates will not be asked their favorite color or favorite movie. Depending on how long the answers go (at least one answer per candidate), we then open up for microphone for questions from those in attendance. There will be an MC who will guide this program as stated. After the question/answer time to mingle and answer any other questions from attending
