Saratoga Springs Voter Information
“People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote—a very different thing.”—Walter H. Judd
“Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be.”—Sydney J. Harris.

School Bond Information
You can follow the links below to get more information on the school bond that has been proposed:
Issues on the Ballot
Go see a sample ballot for our precinct. The items we have to vote on for this election cycle are the school bond issue and three open city council seats.
Early Voting at City Offices
If you don't want to fight the crowds (although that hasn't traditionally been too much of a problem) or need a more convenient time to vote, you can drop by the city offices and cast your vote early. You may vote any time between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm or on Friday, November 4th, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

October 6, 2011
Riverview Elementary

7:00 Presentation of the Colors and Pledge of Allegiance by Boy Scout Troops 1024, 1124, & 998
7:10 Welcome. Each candidate will have 2 minutes to introduce themselves
7:20 Questions from the Riverview 5th & 6th Grade Students
Retiring of the Colors by Boy Scout Troops
7:45 Mix and Mingle
8:30 Begin Clean Up
The questions asked by the 5th/6th grade students will be "real" questions. The PTA has given the teachers a list of issues that are currently affecting our city. The classes will discuss the issues what they mean and will pull their questions from that. Please don't worry- candidates will not be asked their favorite color or favorite movie. Depending on how long the answers go (at least one answer per candidate), we then open up for microphone for questions from those in attendance. There will be an MC who will guide this program as stated. After the question/answer time to mingle and answer any other questions from attending
